LiFePO4 batteries have significant advantages over common lead accumulators in terms of cycle strength (lifetime), dimensions, energy density and corresponding weight.
Compared to conventional lead accumulators, LiFePO4 batteries can be discharged almost completely without suffering great voltage drops. While a lead battery can deliver about half of its nominal capacity, the nominal capacity of a LiFePO4 battery is almost the real available capacity.
Furthermore, the LiFePO4 battery is characterized by a comparable long service life. Our batteries can reach 2000 complete charging cycles without little loss of capacity and voltage. The LiFePO4 battery cells have a rated voltage of 3.2V-3.3V and therefore can replace lead batteries in the formats 6V (6.4V), 12V (12.8V), 24V (25.6V).
Possible applications of LiFePO4 batteries are for solar systems, caravans, but also for motors, UPS systems (uninterruptible power supply), sonar, medical devices, measuring devices, etc.
The purchase prices of LiFePo4 are often mentioned as a disadvantage compared to lead batteries. In many applications that quickly exhaust lead batteries, the LiFePO4 battery is even cheaper if you calculate the price per Wh over the service life.

LiFePO4 Battery Cells

Batteries LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) are a type of lithium-ion battery with a cell voltage of 3.2V or 3.3V. LiFePo4 battery cells are known for longevity (about 2,000 charge and discharge cycles) and are suitable for applications where long service life is required, such as in medical technology, storage systems, UPS systems, etc. pp.
Furthermore, the LiFePO4 is suitable as a replacement for conventional lead-acid batteries (car batteries), because the LiFePO4 can be manufactured in the configuration of 4S battery systems that have a nominal voltage of 12.8V.
